Why the range is so wide

Trips and time

The Los Algodones directory says All-on-4 can often be done in 5–7 days with a temporary bridge; the final teeth usually need a return visit. A Costa Rica clinic quotes two stages with a 7-day trip each. From Los Angeles, KAYAK's 12-month average round-trip to Cancún is $545; to Tijuana it is $333 (many US patients drive or walk across instead).

Questions to ask

  1. Who exactly will treat me, and what is their licence and registration number?
  2. What is the written treatment plan, tooth by tooth, including whether each tooth gets a veneer or a crown?
  3. Which material, lab and implant brand will you use?
  4. What is included: scans, X-rays, temporaries, extractions, grafts, sedation, hotel, transfers?
  5. How many trips and how many days per trip?
  6. What guarantee do you give, and who pays for flights if something needs fixing?
  7. What records (X-rays, scans, implant details) will I take home for my own dentist?
